Why did DS SMITH in Kunheim (Bas-Rhin) choose VOKKERO GUARDIAN Bluetooth terminals?

For several years now, VOGO has been equipping production lines in cardboard plants.

The customer

A subsidiary of the British DS SMITH Group, the Kunheim plant in the Bas-Rhin region of France specializes in the manufacture of packaging, paper and recycling services. Now with an international presence, it has over 30 sites in France.

The brief

The Kunheim plant has two corrugators producing corrugated board.

This noisy environment requires hearing protection, making communication between operators extremely difficult.

Nearly 10 people work on each corrugator on the site, with an almost constant need for communication.

The solution deployed

We installed VOKKERO GUARDIAN equipment on all the plant’s corrugators, in order to restore communication which had become virtually impossible, due to the noise generated by the corrugators and the great distance between the plant’s team members.

With our audio communication solution adapted to the site’s infrastructure, forklift drivers and operators can now talk to each other with ease. The wireless system provides freedom of movement and working comfort. Last but not least, VOKKERO technology offers a customized solution, thanks to the creation of different workgroups.

Clear communication

In a noisy environment, the noise filter enables clear communication and increases the level of everyday comfort.

Enhanced safety

This audio system, combined with the ASO 400 bone conduction headset, also provides hearing protection for the teams. Operators’ work is made safer thanks to constant communication, as if they were working side by side.

Improvement of productivity

Thanks to constant communication, corrugator operators can coordinate their actions and improve production.
